Environmental Artist

Dirty Beach

Dirty Beach was a 9 year collaboration between Lou and Brighton artist Chlöe Hanks (Hanksy), starting with a 2009 Brighton Festival Fringe show.

They created contemporary, provocative and witty work that reacted to the social and environmental challenges of our throwaway society.

Their trash filled supermarket, ‘Trucost Super-M-Art’, was installed ten times across the UK and Europe. Each incarnation was site specific and completely unique using locally sourced found plastics.
